RAY MURPHY JR.
Ray Murphy Jr.’s professional experience includes more than 25 years in theatrical production. Mr. Murphy is a visionary within the field of themed comedy films, with a knack for developing witty material into entertaining movies. After serving six years in the United States Air Force, Mr. Murphy made his professional debut in 1985 as a Production Assistant for Eddie Murphy Productions. His tenure as a Production Assistant was short-lived, as he began fully working on films such as Coming to America, The Nutty Professor, and Producing films Another 48 Hours, and Vampire in Brooklyn, Harlem Nights, Beverly Hills Cop 3 and Metro. Murphy’s dedication and expertise earned him the position of President for more than eight years. Through his leadership, worldwide box office gross revenues and media rentals for films under the Eddie Murphy Productions’ umbrella had significantly exceeded $1 Billion. Mr. Murphy then went on to Executive Produce eight Comedy DVDs titled The Big Black Comedy Show. Murphy’s strong relationship-building skills have solidified lasting associations with the industry’s top producers, directors, agents, writers and film studio executives. Mr. Murphy recently launched Murphy Entertainment Studios to select, produce and distribute a broad range of entertainment films and products.
